Let us take a brief look at Apple’s premier flagship smartphone. To be clear, this is a quick review of the iPhone Pro Max. Not the base model 14, 14 Plus, or the 14 Pro(even though the two phones share a lot of similarities). While there will be plenty of specs presented in this article, this is mostly a review of the phone based of my personal first-hand experience with the device.
the Apple aesthetic
It’s no surprise that this phone as absolutely gorgeous. My personal favorite color option is silver. Something about the chrome accent on the outer edge of the phone truly makes it feel luxurious. If flashy isn’t your cup of tea, maybe Space Black or Deep Purple would win you over. Although, you could be even more boujee by purchasing the Gold option. Aside from the color schemes, the iPhone has a decent looking camera array identical to previous models.

supercharged
The battery life of this phone is one of its best traits. The pure size of the iPhone 14 Pro Max gives it the space for a massive 4,323 mAh battery. Depending on how heavy your phone usage is, you can go a couple days without charging it. Not needing to bring a charger everywhere you go is extremely convenient.
picture perfect
I am not much of a photographer myself, but now I want to be. The cameras on this iPhone are about as good as they get. Apple finally made the upgrade from the standard 12MP cameras to 48MP. With three lenses on the back of the phone, you have plenty of options and varying zoom levels.
the lonely island
The iPhone 14 Pro models finally downsize the notch that we have seen since the iPhone X. It looks nice and sets the phone apart from previous designs. However, Apple sells the Dynamic Island as some game-changing experience. While it is cool, it is more of a gimmick than anything . There is nothing that it provides that truly improves the utility of a smartphone. Not to mention, it doesn’t look very good in certain lighting.

final thoughts
There is a ton to like about the iPhone 14 Pro Max. This brief review doesn’t touch on all the desirable features of the phone, only the most notable ones. While changes like the Dynamic Island and camera upgrades do make it more unique, it is still not that much different from more recent older models. That being said, if you have the iPhone 11, 12, or 13 than its probably not worth upgrading yet unless you have the cash to burn.
