“There are those who said this day would never come. What have they to say now?”- Prophet of Truth, Halo 2

It would be an understatement to say that Halo Infinite has been derailed from its course to success. Or was it? 343 Industries released a road map late last year that serves as a plan to help Infinite reach its full protentional. Thus far, things have been somewhat on track, by this game’s standards at least. You didn’t think 343i would reliably deliver on their promises did you?

season 3: echos within

Lets dip our toes into some leaks about Halo Infinite’s third season-echoes within. The current release date is set at March 7, 2023. We can only hope that this date isn’t delayed any further, fingers crossed. The largest update coming with this season is ray tracing. Which should make the game look much better visually for those that have graphics cards capable of ray tracing. Players on the Xbox Series X and S will benefit from this as well. A new 100-tier battle pass will be the core of season 3, featuring much more customization options for players who purchase the pass. It’s unknown what armor will be includes, but fans hope for it to be appealing enough to be worth the time spent unlocking it.

hopes and dreams

Halo Infinite’s development and time spent since release had been extremely disappointing and updates to the game hasve been underwhelming. Maybe season 3 will help push this game towards success. Otherwise, Infinite might be beyond repair. I personally hope to see the game in a state we all expected it to be in when it was first revealed.
